AMicro Brings In-House Full-Stack Robotics Technology to the 2026 Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition)

Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the 2026 Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 13 to 16. As an international professional platform, it focused on frontier fields including AI robotics, smart healthcare devices and new entertainment technologies, connecting technology showcases with business opportunities for companies from China and overseas. AMicro presented its complete suite of in-house algorithms and sensor modules, connecting dedicated chips, perception systems and algorithm modules with software development platforms, modular products and integrated hardware–software solutions to demonstrate end-to-end robotics capabilities.

At the fair | Robotics products draw crowds and active business discussions

The booth attracted overseas buyers, industry customers and partners. Discussions covered solution compatibility, technical collaboration, commercial deployment and global expansion, creating an energetic atmosphere for business engagement.

In-house sensor modules | Building robots' environmental perception capabilities

AMicro's sensor portfolio ranged from ToF LiDAR and structured-light obstacle avoidance to RGB vision and three-in-one modules. Covering mapping, edge following, low-obstacle detection and AI visual recognition, it provides full-stack perception for autonomous robot operation.

Designed for indoor robots, the T5C dToF single-photon LiDAR emits 3,000 infrared laser pulses per second. A single-photon receiver captures reflected light, and distance is calculated using the speed of light and the time between transmission and reception. Its rotating structure extends single-point ranging into a 360° point cloud, with angular resolution down to 0.72°. With a range of 0.1–8 metres, it captures clear room outlines and provides a reliable, cost-effective data foundation for mapping and path planning.

The AMS01 three-in-one module integrates ToF LiDAR, a structured-light obstacle avoidance module, an RGB camera and infrared fill lighting. ToF supports long-range mapping, structured light detects nearby obstacles, and RGB with AI recognizes furniture, appliances and the surrounding environment. Together, they deliver long-range mapping, near-range obstacle avoidance and environmental understanding. AMS02 is a two-in-one version without the RGB camera, allowing selection according to project requirements. The modules use a mature, reliable rotating optical-mechanical design that delivers a wide field of view, long range and high accuracy.

A complete in-house algorithm suite | Delivering modular solutions

The exhibits included in-house algorithms for uSLAM mapping and localization, environmental perception, motion planning and control. Closely adapted to AMicro's chips and full range of sensor modules, these algorithms package mapping, localization, obstacle avoidance and path planning into modular capabilities, providing complete turnkey solutions for consumer, commercial and industrial inspection applications.

Dedicated chips lead the way | AM970 and its development board take centre stage

As a core computing platform for mobile robots, AM970 can process six HD video streams simultaneously. With a six-camera fusion system, it enables precise environmental perception and real-time obstacle avoidance under complex lighting. Its chip-cascading expansion capability meets both lightweight, low-power consumer requirements and demanding industrial workloads. The accompanying development board offers industry customers a convenient hardware development platform, lowering the barriers to robotics R&D and helping partners prototype and iterate quickly.

A powerful product portfolio | AMicro solutions win attention through live demonstrations

AMicro showcased a range of products demonstrating its robotics chips and technical capabilities. Robots and robotic arms using its in-house chips and complete solutions performed live demonstrations of motion control and interactive execution. Robot dogs powered by AMicro solutions also appeared at the booth, demonstrating the chips' motion-control and environmental-adaptation capabilities in multi-legged robots and their advantages in complex environments.
