The 2025 Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Industry Conference and Guangdong AI and Robotics Skills Competition, known as XAIR, took place in Guangzhou from December 12 to 14. Under the theme “Intelligently Connecting the World, a New Chapter for the Bay Area,” it connected government, industry, academia, research, users and business around key AI and robotics breakthroughs and applications. AMicro, an intelligent mobile robotics technology platform company, was invited to present its technical work and exploration.

Independent innovation receives provincial recognition
Guangdong Provincial Standing Committee member Wang Xi and Vice Governor Wang Sheng visited AMicro’s booth. They recognized its independent R&D in robotics technology and chips, support for Macao’s economic diversification and participation in Macao–Hengqin integration. AMicro President Jiang Xinqiao said the company aligns its growth with national development and uses technology to connect innovation resources in Macao and mainland China through the Hengqin Cooperation Zone.

The recognition strengthened AMicro’s commitment to using Hengqin–Macao R&D to support industrial upgrading in the Greater Bay Area.
Collaborative research in Hengqin and Macao creates a model for regional innovation
With Hengqin–Macao R&D as its engine, AMicro participates in the Greater Bay Area’s collaborative innovation system through joint university laboratories and major research projects. It works closely with the University of Macau, Macau University of Science and Technology and City University of Macau. Supported by the Macao Science and Technology Development Fund, it has partnered with the University of Macau and the Zhuhai UM Science & Technology Research Institute on robotics chips and low-power analog circuits, connecting basic research, technology development and industrial applications.
In 2019, AMicro led a national robotics R&D project under the 13th Five-Year Plan, overcoming dedicated mobile robotics chip bottlenecks and filling a domestic gap. It provided chip-level solutions for service and specialized robots. The results received a China Chip Outstanding Technological Innovation Product award and supported the coordinated development of integrated circuits and robotics in Macao.
uSLAM: a platform for intelligent applications across scenarios
AMicro showcased uSLAM, its open full-stack multi-camera vision technology platform for intelligent robots. Built around an in-house high-performance vision engine and high-compute AI modules, it provides customizable chip-level support. It addresses performance and power limitations to deliver precise perception, fast decisions and stable control. Its high performance and low power consumption support humanoids, quadrupeds, industrial vision and drone navigation.
Collaborative innovation for high-quality Greater Bay Area development
XAIR 2025 demonstrated AMicro’s role as a specialized and innovative “Little Giant” in the Hengqin–Macao Cooperation Zone and its participation in the Greater Bay Area’s international innovation center. Focused on robotics and AI, the company pursues independent technological breakthroughs in the zone and closer links between Macao and mainland innovation and industry chains.
AMicro looks forward to working with global partners to scale robotics and AI applications, contributing independently developed chips and an open ecosystem to the Greater Bay Area’s next chapter.
