On June 30, 2026, the Macao International Science and Technology Industry Center unveiling and 2026 InLotuX Summit took place in Macao, attended by Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai. AMicro, representing intelligent robotics and AI companies, signed an agreement to become one of the center’s first participants. The partners will collaborate on frontier technology, cross-border commercialization and global market expansion, strengthening the Greater Bay Area’s Hengqin–Macao innovation foundation.

Macao International Science and Technology Industry Center: a platform for Guangdong–Macao collaboration
Established under the coordination of Macao’s Economic and Technological Development Bureau and operated by the Macao Institute of Industrial Technology, the center is a key initial project for Macao’s technology R&D industrial park. It focuses on AI, integrated circuits, digital technology, biomedicine and aerospace technology. Drawing on Macao’s role as a China–Portuguese-speaking countries platform, it connects mainland China and global markets through technology exchange, incubation and commercialization services.
Using the Cooperation Zone’s institutional advantages, the center implements a “Macao R&D, Hengqin commercialization” model spanning research, pilot development, production and international expansion. It combines Macao’s research strengths with Hengqin’s policies, industry resources and talent support to assist cross-border development.

AMicro’s full-stack robotics and AI technology supports the Hengqin–Macao ecosystem
As an initial signatory, AMicro brings its long-standing expertise in integrated perception, decision-making and control platforms. Its independently developed capabilities cover embodied intelligence algorithms, dedicated robotics computing chips and perception systems, establishing a competitive position in core robotics hardware.
AMicro will work with the center in three areas:
• Joint frontier technology research: combining Macao’s international research resources and university platforms to develop dedicated robotics chip architectures and key embodied intelligence technologies, addressing computing and real-time control bottlenecks.
• Two-way technology commercialization: locating basic research and international exchange in Macao, with pilot development, mass production and industrial deployment supported by Hengqin’s supply chain, creating a cross-border innovation cycle.
• Global expansion through Macao: using the China–Portuguese-speaking countries trade platform to bring intelligent devices and robotics AI products to Portuguese-speaking and global markets.

Two-way Hengqin–Macao collaboration builds a world-class innovation hub
The Greater Bay Area is accelerating the development of a globally leading innovation center. Macao and Hengqin have complementary resources and industrial roles: Macao provides international R&D and trade connections, while Hengqin offers targeted policies, industrial space and commercialization support.
AMicro’s participation is a practical example of Hengqin–Macao collaboration in AI and integrated circuits. Combining its robotics platform with the center’s resources, it will connect frontier research in Macao, industrial commercialization in Hengqin and global expansion through Macao, creating a model for cross-border innovation and supporting economic diversification.
Looking ahead: long-term cooperation through AI
AMicro will continue contributing robotics and AI expertise, bringing together researchers and laboratories from both locations with the center to build a joint embodied intelligence R&D platform. It will deepen industrial collaboration, accelerate commercialization and support the Greater Bay Area’s development as a world-class source of innovation.
